Miniature Paintings for Sale only two more weeks!

Miniature Fine Art Oil Painting Wall 72

There are only two weeks left to enjoy and purchase miniature art from the only juried Miniature Art Show of its kind in the Midwest. See over 125 miniature drawings and miniature paintings for sale through–Saturday August 27th from 10-7 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-5 Wednesdays and Fridays, 10-4 Saturdays. The gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Explore meticulously detailed works of fine art created by some of most talented contemporary miniature artists in the world. Miniature Fine Art is defined as original art on a small scale with exquisite attention to detail and extremely refined technique. The scale of the subject is generally 1/6 of its actual size or smaller. The most extreme works of fine art “in little,” are created under magnifiers with brushes as small as a 30/0. Due to the tiny nature of this art, its creation can take up 6-8 times longer than a work of art created to scale.

Miniature Fine Art, as described by the Miniature Art Society of Florida (MASF), is a specialty art with roots going back to the book paintings and illuminated manuscripts of the 7th century. Elizabethan England was noted for its miniature portraits on vellum and later ivory, which served much as small photographs do today. MASF is one of the prestigious miniature art societies in the United States keeping fine art in miniature alive. Google miniature fine art, and MASF’s site is the first to come up. http://www.miniature-art.com/whatis.html Next on the search, The Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. (MPSGS). http://www.mpsgs.org/mpsgs-exhib.htm Both of these distinguished societies have renowned miniature art shows on the East coast. Many of the artists participating in ADG’s show are members of these societies and have been recognized in these society’s annual shows with top awards. You can view ADG’s miniature art show online at http://www.artisticdesignsgallery.net/art-shows/miniature-fine-art-show , however, this type of artwork is meant to be experienced up close and personal. The online image intentionally lacks the clarity of original so that it cannot be reproduced.

Experience tiny detailed drawings in graphite, colored pencil, pastel, ink and hand colored engravings as well as paintings in watercolor, oil and acrylic. Subjects include: landscape, seascape, cityscape, wildlife, portrait, figure and still life. The framed artwork ranges in size from 3 x 4 to 6 x 8 inches. All artwork is available for purchase will remain in the gallery for the duration of the show.
